In 1997, the veil tore.
I had been ‘in the Work’ for nearly ten years already, sourcing what is the volume and body of work called Soul Fusion, on Mt. Shasta.
The veil tore as I was departing Shasta — and I personally went into shock, and cope, not realizing what it was I was working with.
Shock is a great protector, and for a while, allows ordinary reality to continue as it was, until it catches up with what IS — and what isn’t:)
I was as well, traveling with my three young children, in Europe. This went on for three months before my own clock of ‘for a while’ ran out.
I returned to Shasta.
A dearheart friend of mine took one look at me, made a phone call, and walked me to a small, tidy, wood-stoved loft cabin on the side of the mountain where I — literally — re-learned to tie my shoes. It was very slow motion. And deeply silent.

Have you ever had to learn to re-tie your shoes?
It takes time. Listening. Patience. Breath.
It takes the Soul showing Up to carry you through.
And in this deep, silent time, I kept hearing one thing only: ‘Write The Book.’
I borrowed a computer, and brought the entirety of it through in six weeks. When I went downtown to have my long-time graphic artist colleague help me with the cover logo? I told her what I envisioned, went into town to get a coffee, returned to find the cover as it is now, in front of me.
Gotta love being in tune…
